Hall ICs by Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII) detect magnet field and output signals.
By combining with a magnet, these Hall ICs can detect open/close, rotation and direction in various devices.
SII's Hall ICs - small, low current consumption, high density mounting - are suitable for portable devices, home electronics and household equipment and more.
3 magnet field detection types: both poles detection, unipolar detection, bipolar detection.
They are available for various applications.

  • Magnetism Sensor ICs (Hall ICs)

1. Bipolar Detection Type: Fast and low consumption, 1nA at power-down mode

Rotation Detection
  • Detection sensors for both rotation and direction using SII's CMOS technology
  • 1nA (typ.) at power-down mode by power-down function reducing current consumption
» S-5721A/5722A Series (with Power-down function)
» S-5723A Series

2. Unipolar Detection Type: Fast detection 7.6kHz, improved magnetic noise resistance characteristics

Fast Detection

  • Fast detection of the open/close state or rotation in end products using SII's CMOS and sensor technologies The S-5713A series provides fast detection with a 7.6kHz (typ.) detection frequency.
  • Safe and stable operation provided by improved magnetic noise resistance characteristics (Magnetic sensitivity: BOP 6.1mT/BRP 4.9mT typ.)
» S-5713A Series

3.Both/either pole detection Type: Low Current Consumption 8.0 μA max.

Open/close detection
  • By combining with a magnet, this Hall IC can be used for the open/close or slide switches. Due to its low current consumption, this IC is especially suitable for portable devices that must be compact. Also, the IC can be used in many appliances due to its wide operating voltage.
  • The S-5711A Series features a current consumption as low as 8 μA max. (5.0 μA typ.), but has a similar response speed to conventional ICs.
