In addition to our conventional linear and LDO regulators, SII provides a lineup of advanced voltage regulators which feature small packages, low current consumption and high accuracy.

Our lineup includes a product with an output voltage accuracy of ±1.0% and a current consumption of 9 µA with a ripple rejection of 70 dB for a longer battery life, a product that features a small ceramic capacitor and small SNT package for high-density mounting, and a product with 1.0V/1.2 V output voltage, an output current of 1A and a low ON-resistor(low I/O voltage differential).Composite products such as dual-circuit products and products with a built-in voltage detector IC are also available.

2. High ripple rejection with low current consumption of 9 µA (70 dB)/50 µA (80 dB)

Current Consumption/Ripple Rejection RatioSII's voltage regulators can provide a stable, low-noise power supply voltage due to their high ripple rejection of 70 dB or 80 dB.
In spite of the high ripple rejection, these ICs have a low current consumption of 9 µA (70 dB) or 50 µA (80 dB), enabling an extended battery life. The high ripple rejection also makes it possible to maximize noise suppression. These ICs are therefore ideal for mobile phones and other communication devices, as well as AV devices such digital cameras, and can be used to support high-quality product design.

*Ripple included in the input voltage is introduced into the output voltage and its element becomes noise, which may degrade the efficiency of the circuit. In digital signal devices, to reject ripple is to decrease the chance that ripple noise will be introduced into the output voltage, which relates to better ripple rejection characteristics.

3. High-density mounting: Small package SNT and small ceramic capacitor

Small packages To make the volume/size for mounting smaller than ever, we have adopted the newly developed small SNT package, enabling high-density mounting.
The SNT-6A(H) package is also available for applications that require a power dissipation of 500 mW.

SNT packages are small, lead-type packages that are mounted via their outer leads, enabling the use of automatic image-based testing. This makes them very advantageous for mounting. Also, because the outer leads are connected firmly by soldering, the package can withstand stress caused by board bending.

Secure, externally set small ceramic capacitor

0.1µF / 0.47µFCeramic capacitors prevent short circuiting caused by malfunction. They are small and low cost. They also have low ESR to prevent high-frequency noise. SII's voltage regulators enable the use of this kind of secure and externally settable output ceramic capacitor

SII provides a range of voltage regulators with an output voltage accuracy of ±1.0%. With this high output voltage accuracy, the IC can deliver an output voltage which is constantly stable, facilitating circuit design for portable devices.
Monitoring the power supply voltage is simple, reducing the possibility of misdetection during monitoring. At the same time, voltage detector selection is made easier.
